God Hijacked Me!

Often time you hear people lament saying things like "God hijacked me"; "I never wanted to do this";  "I was gainfully employed before." These and many more are what you hear from people who had a cause to change their profession, leaving what they were joyfully doing for an unwilling job or profession.

More of these statements are common to people who received God's call into the Gospel ministry - especially on full-time based. Many of these people had what they were doing which gave them befitting livelihood. Only for them to have a reason (which sometimes seems unexplainable) to abandon it.

Likewise, those who are not called into full-time gospel ministry often have needed to change from one job to another.

There are two sides to this issue;

Many people thought they were actually doing well where they were or are without knowing that they were thriving in the wrong place. They never took time to know what exactly God wanted them to do; yet, they kept pursuing dreams that can never take them to reality dom. Many people continued to succeed at the expense of their fulfilment.

On the other hand, God had to interject some people's supposed progress, fulfilment and success because what they count as success is an underachievement compared to God's plan. Hence, He had to take them out of the status quo.

The most important this here is that you must strive to know God's plan for you, even before you get to the turning point where decisions will be made.

Hearing from God is a treasure to those who do not want to persist in error.

If God needs to hijack you to succeed, please let Him!

WHY YOU KEEP BLOCKING YOUR BLESSINGS

You are responsible for your blessings. Of all the art of giving, tithing is one that has become so problematic for people to the extent that it becomes a burden, even to some who pay it. This is a glimpse into what was in the mind of God when He commanded it, and what we stand to gain as generations evolve. Malachi 3:9-10 says, "A curse is on all of you because the whole nation is cheating me. BRING THE FULL AMOUNT OF YOUR TITHES TO THE TEMPLE, so that there will be plenty of food there. Put me to the test and you will see that I will open the windows of heaven and pour out on you in abundance all kinds of good things. (GNB) What is so important about tithe paying? Let us see few things about tithing.  1. It is an emblem of obedience:   You are not obedient to God enough until you are obedient in your possession.  A man was willing to follow Jesus, but he was not ready to part with his possessions (Matt. 19:16-29).  2. It is an indication of being resp...

SUSPICION: A SUBTLE POISON IN RELATIONSHIPS

"SUSPICION: A SUBTLE POISON IN RELATIONSHIPS" Our focal text is from Ecclesiastes 7:21-22 NCV "Don’t listen to everything people say, or you might hear your servant insulting you. You know that many times you have insulted others."  What does it mean to be suspicious? The act of suspecting something or someone, especially of something wrong. That's a simple way to define it according to the English dictionary. One of the dangers of suspicion is that it breeds distrust. And you see, whoever you cannot trust; you cannot love, live with, lean on, deal with, partner with and even talk with. Our focus isn't on marriage alone tonight, but affects all relationships - business, family, marriage, and all. The moment you begin to have a doubt about what someone says, suspicion has set in. There must have been a reason to doubt them. Suspicion comes from the word 'suspect' which means To IMAGINE or SUPPOSE (something) to be true, or to exis...
